Wool Or You Bar Soap
This soap was made from scratch in the Hot Process method, which gives soap a very rustic look. These will be packaged in minimal-eco friendly packaging, which varies by stock on hand. If you require a special 'gift' type packaging, please let us know.
Making a gift set? These bars go great with Body Butter sticks.
These bars range in various sizes. You can use this bar for your woolies or you can use it in the shower. :) We don't judge. Natural soap will always last longer if left to dry between uses. Soap trays and decks are great for this purpose! Soap varies in color/shade depending on the fragrance or essential oil used. This is part of the natural character of the soap.
UPDATE: As of Fall 2016, all newly listed batches of Wool or You will be done as 'straight cut' bars and no longer feature the wavy-cut look. This will be phased in over a period of time, as we add new batches. This gives a more consistent sized bar, and saves us time getting them listed.
Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Organic Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Elaeis Guineensis Kernel (Palm Kernel) Oil, Pharmaceutical Grade Lanolin, Organic Cocoa Butter, Water, Sodium Hydroxide*, Castor Oil, Fragrance or Essential Oil.
All the palm and palm kernel oils I use are sourced from members of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).
*Wait... what's this sodium hydroxide thing? That's lye. Lye + Water + Oils = Soap. I know people get nervous about chemicals in their products, but believe me: No actual lye remains in the soap after it is made. Once the ingredients are combined, the lye is gone. Other makers of handmade soap will sometimes say 'saponified oils'... saponification is merely the chemical reaction of lye with the oil. Commercial and glycerin-style soaps will use formal chemical names, like 'sodium cocoate,' which is simply the chemical combination lye & coconut oil.
